L'Istituto Liceale Giannina Milli è una scuola secondaria statale di
secondo grado che , a seguito della riforma promulgata dal DP.R. n. 89 del
15/05/2010, comprende tre licei denominati Liceo Linguistico,
Liceo delle Scienze Applicate e Liceo delle Scienze Umane,che
sostituiranno progressivamente i corrispondenti licei attuali,istituiti dal
"progetto Brocca", e denominati Linguistico, Scientifico-Tecnologico
e Socio-Psico-Pedagogico, già Istituto Magistrale dal 1923 al
2002, allorchè è stato soppresso dal D.m.14/03/1997.
La
scuola offre un modello formativo avanzato,
orientato a trasmettere non soltanto conoscenze (sapere), ma anche a
sviluppare nei giovani quelle competenze e capacità (saper fare),
che possano farli diventare protagonisti del proprio futuro (saper essere).
Quest’anno l’Istituto accoglie 646 studenti
di cui il 68% pendolari, intendendo per “pendolari” gli studenti che utilizzano
mezzi extraurbani per raggiungere la scuola.

High School that after the reform issued with decree n. 89 of
15th May 2010, includes three secondary high school courses
specializing in Modern Languages, in Human Sciences, in Applied Sciences.
These, will gradually replace the current courses of study introduced
by “Brocca programs”, called senior high school specializing in modern
languages,senior high school specializing in science and technical
education, senior high school specializing in didactics and education
formerly called “ Istituto Magistrale” from 1923 to 2002 when it was suppressed by the Ministerial
Decree on 14th March 1997.
"G. Milli" Institute now offers an advanced educational model
which aims at transmitting knowledge as well as at improving in the students
those competences and skills that can make them protagonists of their own
future. It welcomes 646 students at present, the majority, over 68% are
commuters .
